Senior Manager Security Operate - Edinburgh * Leeds- £65k very much negotiable
Continued success creates a requirement for our client - senior manager specializing in IT security (minimum of six years experience), to be based in their North of England and Scotland offices, they will consider candidates for their Leeds or Edinburgh offices. Suitable candidates will have general experience in IT risk and control, systems * network audit, technical configuration reviews and project management, plus at least one area of technical security expertise. We would be particularly interested in candidates with proven skills and experience in: enterprise-wide user identity management; encryption tools and technologies; intrusion detection; and * or enterprise security management and administration solutions. All senior managers should also have proven client relationship management and business development skills.
Accountabilities: Operational - Resources and manages effective delivery of assignments. Monitors staff availability and chargeability and supports development of other staff. Manages development and delivery of technical proposals, producing an excellent quality of written products. Client - Manages a portfolio of clients and assignments. Manages key client relationships and expectations. Addresses very complex technical points with senior client mix. Develops and delivers service and value charters. Provides quality assurance and monitor risks. People - Manages assignment teams including deep technical resources (e.g. Senior * Lead Consultants) and Partners. Liaises with service line teams, functional specialists and Area Partners. Has involvement in the staff counselling and recruitment processes as required. Financial - Identifies, develops and pursues client and market opportunities by actively targeting and evaluating opportunities for selling work. Develops assignment plans that will ensure profitability. Manages sales and utilisation target for team. Wins work by proactively managing existing clients. Participates in other sales initiatives. Monitors work in progress, billing and cash collection. Must have: 8 years + management experience. Ideally some industry experience, although not essential. Project management skills. Strong client management skills with the ability to build and develop networks and relationships with internal contacts and current clients. A track record in developing and winning new business would be highly desirable or the attributes and skills to be a strong business developer. Very good broad understanding and practical experience of IT security risk and control issues, including a structured way of developing and delivering tailored solutions. Detailed understanding and practical experience in a number of information security management and technical IT security disciplines.
